Welcome to Mountain MobileVet!

Dear Friends,

This is a season of change, and change has come to Mountain MobileVet as well. In March 2009, I closed the practice and joined Dr. Mark Michelotti and his staff at Centre Animal Hospital (www.centreanimalhospital).

Mountain MobileVet has grown steadily through the years and was near its capacity. At the same time, nine years of PA weather took their toll on my RV, forcing a decision about the future of the practice. We looked at many options, and I think this is the best answer. Here's what this means for you and your pets:

  • More appointment options. Many of you have come to rely on the convenience of a at-your-door veterinary care, but I've also had a steady stream of requests from clients who wanted to save the expense of an on-site visit and bring their pets to me. You'll now have both options, as Centre Animal Hospital will soon have a mobile unit with many capabilities I currently have with Mountain MobileVet. It should be on the road later in 2009.
  • More capabilities. I'll have a wider array of diagnostic tools and treatment options available at Centre Animal Hospital, and I look forward the the collaborative environment of a multi-doctor hospital.
  • Continuity of Care. Please rest assured - your animal's health and your peace of mind are a prime concern during this transition. I can still be your veterinarian - just call Centre Animal Hospital at 814-238-5100 and aks for an appointment with me. You can also be confident that the doctors and staff at Centre Animal Hospital share my philosophy and approach to animal care - I wouldn't be joining them if that weren't the case.

When I opened Mountain MobileVet in 2000, I had the goal of building a practice I could be proud of, one focused on both pets and people, providing top-quality care in a compassionate manner. We've worked hard to do that through the years, and in the process, we've made hundreds of friends and helped thousands of animals. Having my own practice has been both challenging and rewarding - one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Thanks to all of you who have been a part of that. I look forward to serving you in the years to come as part of Centre Animal Hospital.

Sincerly,
Dr. Renee A. Calvert
