Mountain MobileVet is a family business in the truest sense, and a labor of love. Dr. Renee Calvert is the owner, veterinarian, and clinic driver. Jeff Calvert, her husband, is the hospital manager, and their son, Lucas Calvert is an enthusiastic future veterinarian.
Since graduating from Purdue's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, Dr. Calvert has helped well over 10,000 animals. They (and their people) are glad that she held on to her dream and became a veterinarian.
She moved to State College during high school, attended Penn State after graduation, and spent four years working for the University, on the Employee Benefits and Earth & Mineral Sciences staffs. I'm glad she decided to change career paths and join the Mountain MobileVet family. I think you will be, too. Stef loves working with animals, and she's good at it, too. She and her husband, Tom, have a Pit Bull mix named Petey and two tabby cats, Edward and Jasper.

Dr. Renee Calvert decided she'd become a veterinarian when she was in 3rd grade, and she's one of those rare people who knew from the beginning exactly what she was meant to do in life. She was a natural, raising puppies for The Seeing Eye, caring for a house full of pets, even making her school bus driver stop so she could rescue a stray dog and take it home.
I'd like you to meet my assistant, Stefanie Canich. Stef grew up in Texas as the oldest of four sisters, but please don't hold that against her - we think she's a Pennsylvanian at heart!.
